FeaturesYour loops

Get every climb timed automatically and compared with your best.

Skibuddy finds the climbs in your trace, times every rep and splits at checkpoints you place once.

Ski training is built around hills: repeats on the stadium climb, threshold pulls over a known rise, tempo laps whose hardest minute is the same ascent. Skibuddy finds those climbs in your trace and times each one, so you see a hill as a hill instead of a slow kilometer.

How Skibuddy finds a climb

After every session Skibuddy smooths the elevation from your phone's barometer and looks for sustained ascents: at least 25 meters of gain at an average grade of 4% or steeper, over at least 150 meters. Skibuddy merges two rises into one climb when less than 30 meters of descent separates them.

Skibuddy treats two climbs as the same hill when both ends lie within 45 meters of each other, so the stadium hill stays one climb all season.

Compare every rep of a hill repeat

Ski the same climb several times and Skibuddy lines up every rep on the hill repeats card, with its time, your best rep and your average. My Climbs keeps each climb across sessions, so you can set January's reps against March's.

A running tracker

Your watch splits partway up the climb, forty meters early today and forty meters late tomorrow.

Skibuddy

Rep 4 in 2:14

Skibuddy times each rep from the bottom of the climb to the top, in every session.

You choose where the splits go

Open any finished session, slide to the moment you crested the stadium hill and name the spot. From then on, Skibuddy splits every session that passes the spot and shows the time in the lap's sectors and splits.
