Skiing isn't a road run.

Skibuddy is the training app for cross-country skiers. It times your loops, your hills and your landmarks — and it knows yesterday's fast snow isn't today's slow snow.

Loop 01 · 3.63 km

Your watch thinks in kilometers. You think in loops.

Autolaps land mid-hill

The kilometer beep arrives halfway up the lantern hill. The split it produces compares a climb to a descent and calls it pace.

Three loops, one blur

Ski the 3.63, then two laps of the 5.42, and your session file is one long average. The laps you actually skied are gone.

Two sports, one PR list

Skate and classic get mixed into a single history. Every classic record on your list quietly belongs to a skate day.

Loop 02 · 5.42 km

Every lap, timed by the trail.

Skibuddy detects your loops automatically and times each one — even when you combine the 3.63 with two laps of the 5.42 in a single session. No buttons at the stadium, no editing afterwards. Just the laps, the way you skied them.

Loop 03 · 7.43 km

Splits where they mean something.

Splits at the lantern hill and the pump house climb — the places you actually check your effort — instead of arbitrary kilometer marks. Every hill becomes a segment with its own history, so you can watch a single climb get faster across a winter.

Loop 04 · 11.34 km

Fast snow, slow snow, same you.

Snow, temperature and grooming are logged with every session, so a −6°C morning is never compared to wet spring slush. Your skis and glide notes ride along too — which pair, which wax, how it ran. Like with like, always.

Classic and skate are different sports.

A skate lap and a classic lap on the same loop are minutes apart — they should never share a record list. Skibuddy keeps separate histories and separate bests for each technique, from day one.

Built by skiers who count laps under the lights.

Questions from the trailhead.

Which watches and phones does it work with?

Skibuddy is phone-first: it records with your iPhone in a pocket or drink-belt, no watch required. Bluetooth heart-rate sensors are supported for the full session, recoveries included.

Does it work at my trail?

Any loop, anywhere. Loop detection works from the shape of your skiing, not from a database — if you ski the same loop twice, Skibuddy notices. Our ski-center database with named landmarks is growing alongside it.

Does it handle both classic and skate?

Yes, as two different sports. Each technique keeps its own session history and its own bests per loop, so a skate afternoon never overwrites a classic record.

When does it launch?

This winter, timed for the first groomed weekends. The waitlist gets first tracks — an invite before the public release.

What will it cost?

Tracking is free during early access. Pricing will be announced at launch, and recording your sessions will stay free.

First tracks are the best tracks.
