Terms of use

These terms cover the Skibuddy website and the Skibuddy iOS app. They are an agreement between you and Kaine Ventures, LLC, a Texas limited liability company that makes Skibuddy ("we"). By using either you agree to them. They are written to be read, not to hide anything.

What Skibuddy is

Skibuddy is a cross-country skiing training app. It records and analyses your own sessions and, if you choose, shares them with your coaches and clubmates or with every signed-in Skibuddy user. It is a training tool. It is not medical advice, coaching certification, or a safety device. You are responsible for training within your own limits and for your safety on the snow.

Your account

You must be at least 16 to use Skibuddy. Before you first use the app, you confirm your age and accept these terms. Keep your sign-in to yourself and tell us if you think someone else is using it. You can delete your account and its data at any time in Settings > Delete Account; deletion is permanent and completes within 30 days.

Coaches

When you connect with a coach, you decide for that coach whether they can plan sessions for you and see your health profile. A coach who can plan sessions can create, edit and delete the planned sessions they created. A coach can never edit, delete or re-share the sessions you record. You can change these permissions or remove a coach at any time.

What you post

Sessions, comments, photos, videos, club and segment details and profile details you share are yours. You give us the permission we need to store and show them to the people you have chosen to share them with, and nothing more. We do not sell your content or use it for advertising.

Do not post content that is abusive, harassing, threatening, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, illegal, or that reveals someone else's private information. Do not impersonate other people. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users.

You can report sessions, comments, profiles, clubs and segments from inside the app, and block any user. Skibuddy checks text against a filter for objectionable words when it is posted and rejects text that matches. We review reports within 24 hours, remove content that breaks these rules, and suspend or remove the accounts responsible. Blocking someone hides their content from you and yours from them.

Acceptable use

Do not try to break the service, scrape other people's data, reverse engineer the app, or use it for anything unlawful. Do not upload files that are not your own recordings or that contain malware.

Availability and changes

Skibuddy is under active development. Features change, and the service may be unavailable at times. We may change these terms; if we do, the date at the top changes and material changes are announced in the app. Continuing to use Skibuddy after a change means you accept it.

No warranty and limits of liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of it, including lost data, missed training, or injury. Nothing here limits rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be waived.
